Our Story
Martin was born and raised in Dublin. After studying economics and business studies at Trinity College Dublin, Martin did a Masters in Accounting at Michael Smurfit School Of Business at UCD. On completion of his masters he started working at one of the ‘Big 4’ accountancy firms and qualified as a chartered accountant. During his time in accounting, the desire to work for himself grew. He completed a number of web design evening courses to build the foundation for the creation of a new business.
The company was created in 2009 and initially was designed to work closely with a number of jewellers across the country. The business was an online platform for jewellers in Ireland to showcase their engagement rings and wedding rings on our website. Our slogan was ‘many jewellers, one address’. At its peak, we had over 40 jewellers on the website showcasing over 5,000 rings and we received over 4,000 unique visitors daily. The business evolved and Bespoke Diamonds was created in 2012.
From his experience working with a number of jewellers, Martin identified a number of problems within the Jewellery industry and believed that there was a better way to do things. Today, alot of diamond ring jewellery is mass produced in developing countries. In many instances, making alterations to this jewellery within a customers budget is not possible. Choice, quality and value for money in diamond jewelley can be difficult to find. As a solution to these problems, Martin reached out to his contacts in the jewellery industry and recruited the best the country had to offer – from designer to goldsmith, polisher to diamond setter, Martin set about building his dream team under the Bespoke Diamonds brand. Under Martin’s expert guidance, today, this team designs and builds Dublin’s finest and most affordable Bespoke Diamond jewellery .

Exclusively different
To achieve the quality and the product we wanted to stand over, a few conditions needed to be met.
- In-house designer was required: this allows us design any ring for our customers. Any ring can now be designed from an image or from a customers spec
- An in-house goldsmith was also required. Goldsmithing is an art – passion, pride and pursuit of excellence is only achieved by being part of the business.
- Investment in state of the art technology – our 3D printer is cutting edge – allowing us print rings to a world class standard.
- Our network of diamond dealers facilitates us source almost any diamond. By removing the middlemen we obtain exceptional discounts we can pass on to our customer.
- Our diamond dealers also allow us know the origin of our diamonds (natural and lab grown)
- By printing and casting our jewellery, we can ensure the origin our our metal to ensure its ethically sourced.
