A new year is upon us which means in comes a new wave of trends for engagement rings! Here are some of our top picks so you have the latest and most stylish engagement ring.
With the latest royal engagement, we predict a rise in popularity of three stone rings, emulating that of Meghan Markle. The future member of the royal family’s ring appears to feature 2 round brilliant cut diamonds flanking a cushion cut centre. However, here at Bespoke Diamonds, we can offer you a multi stone ring of whatever diamond cut variation you’d prefer.
This year we have seen a dramatic rise in the number of people opting for a coloured gemstone rings. This being the preference over a classic diamond. Currently, sapphire is the most popular gemstone. However, we offer most stones from emerald to ruby to opal. Another gemstone that is on the rise is the Morganite stone. It has a pinkish tones and is the perfect choice for the more unusual bride-to-be!
Our third point has been slightly overshadowed in recent years. This is due to the exponential rise in popularity of white gold. We have seen many people reverting back to this classic choice of metal. 18k yellow gold simply oozes class and elegance. It is well-complemented on a simple solitaire setting, with white gold claws. This is to avoid the yellow gold colour making the diamond appear discoloured.
Fancy cut diamonds are without a doubt on the rise. One that we have tipped to become the front-runner in 2018 is the oval cut diamonds. With its elongated shape, it makes fingers appear more slender. It also looks well in a halo setting. Celebrities who were ahead of the curve with this trend are Blake Lively. They wear an oval solitaire ring. So too does Katie Holmes who wore a diamond oval halo engagement ring on a split band.
These are a few of our predictions for the coming year. However everyone’s tastes are so different, we never really know what to expect! If some of these trends appeal to you, make an appointment with us in our offices on Kildare Street, to make your dream ring a reality!
